Bai, Cinasia and Kauscha sign landmark deal, paving way for normalisation of ties

Representatives from Bai, Cinasia and Kauscha signing the memorandum of understanding.

Tamon – A major breakthrough in international diplomacy was announced yesterday when the nations of Bai, Cinasia and Kauscha revealed that they had agreed to resume diplomatic talks in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in the Cinasian exclave of Tamon.

In a joint statement released by the country’s respective foreign ministries, the three nations expressed their commitment to fostering a renewed era of cooperation and dialogue for the security and stability of the Northern Archantan region.

This is a significant policy change particularly for the Bai Empire. The Hexi Empress at the beginning of the year announced that the Empire was working on a series of “decisive policy change” in terms of its conduct of international relations. Unlike previous agreements, Bai has signalled a willingness for the normalisation of relations with Cinasia and Kauscha, which up till recently regarded them as breakaway regions of the Empire. It has been reported that Bai’s Dehua and Kaosha Affairs Liaison Office, the administrative agency responsible for relations with Cinasia and Kauscha, are now under the oversight of Bai’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Other details of the agreement have not been made public. While an MoU is not legally binding, it is seen as a statement of intent and can lead to a treaty imposing obligations on those parties who have signed.
