BAKDEP, KUEHONG – “Kuehongese scientists have just reported a new weapon that is much more destructible and powerful than the most powerful atomic bomb ever known,” says a declassified government report released to the public just this evening.
“We have no intention to use it for military purposes. This is part of a protracted research on potential weapons,” the reports concludes, saying that otherwise they ‘would choose not to release the report’ to the public.
The Kuehongese government also added that they are now inviting foreign scientists to witness the new weapon and its capabilities. It has also been repeated many times that the discovery is ‘purely accidental’ and ‘will never be used for warlike purposes’. It is unknown when the visit will be carried out, and who has been invited so far.
The exact nature of the weapon has never been revealed yet, though seismologists a few weeks ago reported an earthquake in the Thoe mountains, with tremours felt in the villages and towns in the states of Bo Sinh and Phuong Lam. Additionally, there has also been a leaked transcript intercepted by a foreign power with regard of a meeting of the High Security Command discussing a new weapon.
Some scientists, however, condemned the research of a ‘lethal weapon’, saying that Kuehong should not be trusted in handling the weapon, but has welcomed Kuehong’s approach in inviting foreign scientists in witnessing the weapon’s capabilities. A few other have also expressed doubt about the visit, saying that it may just be a ‘show of Kuehong’s might’. Regardless, all scientists are now curious about the nature of the weapon, and will hope to see it ‘at the first opportunity’.
