Lu’an, Bo Sinh, KUEHONG – In what seems to be another blunder by the over-paranoid military, the Kuehongese military stationed in the border regions has shot down what was initially detected as an ‘unidentified aircraft’. Subsequent investigations revealed that it is just a pigeon ‘with no other gadgets or foreign objects on it’.
The incident took place at 11.43 pm last night. The Kuehongese border guards along the Fayaan border quickly alerted a military base in Lu’an, which promptly shot down the unidentified object approaching from Fayaan. There were also reports of the object dropping an initially unidentified liquid which turns out to be pigeon droppings.
No other casualties were reported in the incident, as said in the report released to the public. However, the military “does not regret” shooting down the pigeon, as the military claims that it cannot take any chances of any unidentified objects intruding their airspace.
A total of 32 birds have been killed so far as a result of such incidents since the beginning of this year. The actions of the Kuehongese military has resulted in a drop of the bird population in the border region and there has been calls by some non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to increase protection of such birds as they are endangered.
Meanwhile, the Fayaanese government continues to reassure its southern neighbour that it has no plans to attack the country, saying that it will be willing to preserve the peace on the peninsula.
