Port Ouillon – A New Year celebration for the opening of a new Mr Pho restaurant in Cabelia was dampened with neitizens pointing out a spelling error on the signage. The Mr Pho Cabelian Management Branch has since issued an apology with regard to the misspelling.

The error was pointed out by social media user Philippe Chausson, who said the translation should be “Quehongais” instead of “Kuehongais”. While both are correct translations of Kuehong in Franquese, the former has been used recently to refer to Kuehong and the latter has been dropped out of use since.

In response, the Cabelia management office issued a statement that the sign will be changed “in due time” and apologies for the spelling error. When interviewed about the error, the management declined to give further details on how it got the translation.
The Mr Pho branch is the first in the city of Port Ouillon , and the second in the nation of Cabelia. The franchise, which specialises in Kuehongese traditional noodle soup, has been expanding in the region since its first branch in 2017.
