Tarsinar – Bai officials confirmed that the Fengyang Emperor is recovering well, following a stroke last evening.

According to early reports, the Emperor suffered a stroke just as he was communicating his instructions to royal officials at home. It’s confirmed that the Emperor will continue to recuperate and remain in the Demirhan Empire, but will cut short his Ulethan tour and return back to Bai “as soon as possible”.

The Emperor has arrived in Demirhan that morning and was received by Sultan Davut III and Grand Vizier Mazir Azhar Paşa. The Sultan gave the Emperor a guided tour at the Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque) and a few industrial plants at Ali Uyghur Cd.

Following that, they returned for a working dinner at the Grand Palace, where they discussed a series of regional issues, before retiring for the night. It was planned for the Emperor to visit the Ulusal Koseyi to give a special address to the Demirhan parliament. However, given his condition, it is likely that the Emperor would give a pre-recorded speech that would be broadcast during the session.

Bai royal officials were alerted to the stroke at around 9.35pm, and a team of medical specialists arrived to treat the Emperor. Princess Yu Shenghui, who accompanied her father on the trip, said that the Emperor was in “good spirits” after the treatment and was recovering. Bai Chancellor Li Shenkang said he was still in regular contact with officials “on the ground” and monitoring the updates.

A spokesperson from the Bai embassy in Demirhan said that the Emperor had been advised to rest for the next few days and that he would not be able to tour around Uletha as scheduled. It is very likely the Bai Emperor will continue to recover in his guest house before returning home, with other plans to travel around the Demirhan Empire cancelled. The Sultan had sent a card expressing his best wishes for the Emperor’s health.
