FSA ambassador sparks fury in Demirhan government

TARSINAR, DEMIRHAN EMPIRE: In recent comments in social media Josephine Coe, Federal States of Archanta ambassador to Demirhan Empire since 2018 criticized the proposed law which limits the presence of foreign capital in the countrywide and local media ownership to 45%. She called the law an antidemocratic provocation and a disgrace to a modern world.

Shortly after she was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she was explained that despite the deep friendship between Demirhan Empire and FSA the situation where the largest private TV broadcaster (Günlük TV) is owned by a single Effesian company is clearly unacceptable.

The talks went in nice, friendly atmosphere, says Vizier Taher Altay Pasha, We underlined that we appreciate that our allies are interested in our law but the foreign intervention in it is something which can not be tolerated especially in as touchy subject as media market. Media are the key to people minds and in any sovereign country the situation where foreign companies control over 90% of media is a treat to national security. I hope our allies will understand that.

The FSA government however refuses to make any official statement in regards of the controversial law. This is the first major row in politics between Demirhan Empire and FSA since start of sultan Suleyman the Fascist rule, when Demirhan Empire became a major FSA ally in Uletha against socialist Surya. In 2019 both countries bilaterally removed visa requirements for tourists.
